“ We were cold and kind of miserable — a warm day turned suddenly freezing — until we struck up a convo with Dre and Michael (our servers). Both have such good energy and positive moods, had us laughing until we felt warm enough to see the Ferris wheel lit up against the night sky and the sunset glow behind the mountain line. It set such a great mood for the rest of our stay in Seattle! ”
“ We went to The Nest in 2017 before we lived in the area. The cocktails were frankly not great, mostly being vodka mix-drinks. It was too loud, overly crowded, and generally unpleasant for the cost. While staying at the Thompson this weekend (March 2025) we gave it another shot. And I'm happy to say it was completely different. The cocktails were all very well thought out and interesting, with complex flavors and harder-to-source ingredients. We had a reservation, and immediately got a very comfortable seat without feeling crowded. They had music playing lightly in the background. Our server was extremely attentive without feeling obtrusive, and knew the menu well when asked questions. While the drinks are certainly 2-4 more than other quality cocktail bars in the area, if you're looking for drinks with a view this is certainly one of the best options in downtown Seattle. ”

“ The Nest is a must visit rooftop in Seattle! We were lucky enough to grab a table during sunset on one of the last warm September days! The views are stunning and the location right in the heart of downtown makes it so convenient! I loved the Jasmine Paloma cocktail! It was so fresh and flavorful! Highly recommend the crab guacamole and the mushroom lettuce wraps. Both apps had so much flavor. It can be hard to get a table during sunset if you don’t have a reservation. Try and book a table early in advance, or if you’re staying at The Thompson Hotel they have separate reservations for guests ”
